What’s open, still closed in Central Florida after Hurricane Milton

Businesses

Publix said on its website that many of its Central Florida stores will reopen by 2 p.m. Thursday. The popular supermarket chain closed its stores in the path of Hurricane Milton on Tuesday before the storm arrived.

Government

Orange County parks will remain closed on Friday. Sites will be assessed for damage and debris before being reopened Saturday.

All Florida Department of Health in Orange County offices will be closed Friday in response to severe weather impacts. Offices will remain closed until further notice.

City offices in Oviedo are scheduled to reopen Friday at 8 a.m. Park facilities are scheduled to reopen Friday barring any safety concerns. Garbage and recycling by Waste Pro will take place Friday for Wednesday/Thursday pickup and Saturday for Friday pickup.

The following offices in Marion County reopen Friday: Sheriff’s Office, Marion County offices, City of Belleview offices, City of Dunnellon offices, Marion County Federal Courthouse, Tax Collector’s Office and Property Appraiser’s Office.

The Marion County Courthouse and the offices of the 5th Judicial Circuit State Attorney’s Office and Clerk of Court and Comptroller will remain closed Friday but will reopen Monday.

The City of Ocala’s offices will remain closed Friday and reopen Monday.

Brevard County Government offices will reopen and resume normal operations Friday.

Winter Park City Hall and all administrative offices resume regular business hours Friday.

Osceola County, city of Kissimmee and St. Cloud offices and parks will reopen and resume regular business hours Friday.

Ocoee City Hall and all administrative offices will reopen Friday.

Transportation

Orlando International (MCO) is reopening for domestic arrivals on Thursday evening and for domestic departures and all international flights on Friday morning.

Orlando Sanford International Airport will resume operations on Friday.

Lynx said all routes except Link 701 will resume service on Friday.

SunRail will resume commuter train service on Monday.

Restaurants and Bars

Austin’s Coffee is Winter Park is now open.

Bad As’s Sandwich on Primrose Drive in Orlando is now open.

Best of British Cafe in Davenport is now open. Free bacon sandwiches for linemen and women.

Boteco Restaurant on International Drive in Orlando is now open.

Canon Coffee in Apopka is now open.

Choulala in Winter Park (both locations) will open on Friday. $36 location opens at 10 a.m.; Park Avenue location at 11 a.m.

Cubans on Wheels on T.G. Lee Blvd. in Orlando will open Friday at 11 a.m.

Deeply Cafe on Washington Street in downtown Orlando is now open.

Eastside BBQ will open at 4 p.m. Thursday at the corner of Goldenrod and Aloma in Winter Park. Limited menu.

The Escobar Kitchen Latin Asian Cuisine on Narcoossee Road in Orlando is now open.

Frank’s Pizza Shop in Winter Park will open at 4 p.m. Thursday.

Fresco Cucina Italiana on International Drive in Orlando will open at 5 p.m. Thursday.

Flipper’s Pizzeria locations are opening steadily. Right now, both the Sandlake and Reunion locations are open. Check social media for updates as more stores come online.

Foxtail Coffee at multiple locations is open now.

Gogi Hotpot & BBQ and Sushi on Colonial Drive in Orlando is now open.

Gostoso Bakery on International Drive in Orlando is now open.

Kavas Tacos + Tequila in a Pointe Orlando on International Drive is now open.

Lemongrass Thai Kitchen in Oviedo will open Thursday at 5:30 p.m.

Marketplace at Avalon Park will open at 4 p.m. Thursday.

Metro Express Pizza & Restaurant on Central Avenue near Lake Eola is open.

Muzzarella Pizza & Italian Kitchen on Lake Underhill Road in Orlando is now open.

Nella’s Market on Landstar Blvd. in Orlando is now open.

Pig Floyd’s Urban Barbacoa and Pigzza, both on Mills Ave. in Orlando, are now open.

Pannullo’s in Winter Park will open at 4 p.m. Thursday. Happy Hour will run until 6 p.m.

The Ravenous Pig in Winter Park will open at 4 p.m. Thursday.

Reggiano’s of Celebration will open at 5 p.m. on Thursday.

Se7enbites on Primrose Drive in Orlando will open Friday at 8 a.m.

Sideward Brewing Co. is now open.

Sushi Yama on Grand National Drive in Orlando is now open.

Swirlery Wine Bar is now open.

Taverna Opa Orlando at Pointe Orlando on International Drive is now open.

Tsuki Sushi & Grill on Narcoossee Road in Orlando is now open.

Vietnam Cuisine on E. Colonial Drive in Orlando is now open.

Viet-Nomz locations (Waterford Lakes, Lake Mary, Winter Park) will open at 4 p.m. Thursday.

VINIA Wine & Kitchen will open at 5 p.m. Thursday.

Yao’s in Oviedo will open at 4 p.m. Thursday.

Yugiri Ramen Project at Henry’s Depot in Sanford will open at 5 p.m. Thursday and plans to extend its hours.

Schools

Several school districts said they were still assessing damage from the storm, but would provide an update either late Thursday or Friday. Orange County Public Schools will reopen on Tuesday, a district spokesperson said.

Seminole County Public Schools will be closed Friday and plans to reopen on Tuesday, a district spokesperson said. SCPS was still assessing the extent of school damage as of Thursday.

Osceola and Lake County schools will also be closed Friday.

AdventHealth University’s Orlando campus will remain closed Friday but will reopen Monday.

Theme Parks and Attractions

Gatorland will remain closed on Friday for cleanup. The attraction will reopen at 10 a.m. Saturday for the kick-off of its three-weekend Gators, Ghosts and Goblins Halloween event, which is included with park admission. In a social-media video, Gatorland said all of its animals are “presented and accounted for.”

Universal Orlando confirms that its theme parks and Universal CityWalk will reopen Friday. It will also host the regularly scheduled Halloween Horror Nights event at Universal Studios theme park on Friday.

Walt Disney World posted on its website that it is preparing to reopen its four theme parks, Disney Springs “and possibly other areas” Friday.

SeaWorld Orlando will reopen Friday, but its two Halloween events – the nighttime Howl-O-Scream and the daylight Spooktacular – have been canceled for Friday.  Aquatica, SeaWorld’s water park, and Discovery Cove, a day resort, also are set to reopen Friday.

Fun Spot’s locations in Kissimmee and near Orlando’s International Drive plan to reopen at 3 p.m. Thursday. They will operate most of their rides, attractions and food stands.

Old Town entertainment complex in Kissimmee is set to reopen at 3 p.m. Thursday.

Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex in Brevard County will remain closed Friday and will reopen at 9 a.m. Saturday.

WonderWorks Orlando opened at 4 p.m. Thursday and will resume normal hours on Friday. Admission is $20 per person on those days.

Orlando Science Center is reopening to the public Friday. The museum will offer “hurricane break” camps for students in kindergarten through fifth grade from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Friday and Monday.  For more information, go to OSC.org/hurricane.
