Friday rain chances remain low across Central Florida as dangerous surf conditions hit the east coast, according to the National Weather Service.
Highs in the mid-80s with overnight lows in the upper 60s are forecast for the region as a surface boundary moves across the eastern United States and offshore flattening high pressure across the western Atlantic, forecasters said.
That means some breeze conditions will return on the weekend and some low-level moisture will generate showers near the coast, but some occasional showers could move inland.
Rain chances increase Saturday as a weak inverted surface trough moves across the Florida peninsular, forecasters said, but only at 10-20% inland and 30% on the coast from Melbourne southward.
Onshore swells mean a high risk of life threatening rip currents and rough surf at all Central Florida beaches.
